THE GAZETTE

In addition to the Bellowing Echoes exhibition, a remade newspaper, The 2012 Port Phillip Gazette, will be released as three limited editions. Originally published here in Melbourne in 1838 by our avatar Geoge Arden, the contemporary remake features new and existing works by both local and international artists. Throughout the three issues we meet fictional truths and mistold stories that echo the project’s longing for community and connection to place.

The 2012 Port Phillip Gazette features new and exisiting works by Bindi Cole, The Holy Trinity Collective, Kirsty Hulm, Sam Icklow, Laith McGregor, Sonja Rumyantseva, Carl Scrase, Stuart’s Erogony, Hanna Tai and Annie Wu.

Designed by ethical design company CopyBoy, the publication is hand printed on a Riso by Dawn Press.
